On the afternoon of December 13, the opening ceremony of the Training Course for SCO Countries Training Course on Social Security Governance was held at CNISCO. Liu Xiaohong, Director of CNISCO, Dong Bin, Deputy Director of Shanghai Public Security Bureau Headquarters, Jin Ye, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department of Shanghai Public Security Bureau Headquarters, Wang Yufeng, Director of Emergency Management and Forensic Science Research Center and all foreign students attended the opening ceremony. Sun Liuhua, Deputy Director of Training Department of CNISCO hosted the opening ceremony. Liu pointed out that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the SCO. Over the past 20 years, law enforcement and security cooperation have always been the core functions and priorities for SCO, as well as an important part of multilateral and bilateral cooperation under the SCO framework. It is hoped that this training course will help formulate the direction of SCO security cooperation, deepen cooperation in the field of security, and contribute Chinese wisdom to the SCO to safeguard regional security, harmony, and economic prosperity. Dong Bin said that Shanghai public security organs aim at achieving the goal of 3 first-class, namely to strive for a world-class safe city, to construct a world-class policing model, to shape an image of world-class police. He hoped to take this online training as an opportunity to further strengthen the cooperation with the participating countries, learn from the successful experience of law enforcement department of SCO countries, conduct in-depth discussions on common issues such as combating transnational crimes and urban social security governance, and strengthen coordination in international law enforcement cooperations.
